Men’s sober housing at the Anthony house. When you’re on the road to recovery, the right environment makes all the difference. At The Anthony House, our men’s sober housing offers a warm, clean, and supportive recovery residence right here in the Twin Cities. With four locations in the St. Paul and Maplewood area—including The Anthony House, Jake’s Place, Michael’s Place, and Colin’s Place—we provide the kind of community and stability that helps recovery take root.
Stepping into one of our homes, you’ll notice the welcoming, well-kept atmosphere immediately. Each house is furnished, spotless, and designed for comfortable living:
- Fully equipped kitchens
- Cable TV, internet, and local phone access
- On-site laundry
- Outdoor spaces like backyard ponds and room to walk
These comforts matter. Recovery is more than just sobriety—it’s rebuilding daily life with dignity.
Freedom + Responsibility
One of our key philosophies is balancing personal freedom with accountability. Residents are encouraged to take charge of their lives—what we call personal responsibility. You’ll have:
- No mandatory exit dates—stay as long as you need to stabilize
- Rotating chores to keep living spaces clean
- Encouragement to attend AA/NA meetings, find sponsors, join in house gatherings, and stay engaged in the community
By choosing freedom alongside structure, residents gain healthy habits and lasting sobriety tools.
Community of Peers in Recovery
Peer support is the backbone of lasting change. Within our homes, men bond over shared experiences and recovery goals. By living with others who get it—and hold you accountable—you’re better equipped for tough days. These connections stretch beyond the house—they extend into meetings, sponsors, jobs, and community life.
Accredited & Accountable Sober Home For Men
All of our homes are members of the Minnesota Association of Sober Homes (MASH), which promotes quality and ethical sober living across the state. MASH inspects member homes and enforces a strict code of ethics, ensuring that every house—including ours—meets high standards for safety, cleanliness, and respect. You deserve nothing less.
Ideal for Minnesota Men Seeking Recovery
Our four residences are located in accessible areas—St. Paul, Maplewood, White Bear Lake—offering easy meeting access, local bus routes, and job opportunities. At The Anthony House’s main location in Maplewood, rooms are furnished with linens, dressers, and shared or single occupancy at competitive rates ($825–$925/month plus a refundable deposit).
The Twin Cities is a great place for recovery. With nearly three million residents, a strong economy, good schools, and abundant support services, Minneapolis–St. Paul offers resources and community in equal measure. It’s a place where recovery isn’t just possible—it’s embraced.
One List of Resident Expectations
Here’s what we ask of residents to maintain a healthy, sober living environment:
- Remain drug and alcohol-free
- Attend regular AA/NA meetings
- Participate in house meetings and community activities
- Maintain cleanliness through chores
- Uphold the spirit and principles of recovery with sponsors and peers
