There are many sober living communities out there, and it is important that you choose the one that is the best fit for your unique needs. We like to think that there are many qualities that the Anthony House offers that makes it different from other recovering homes, but we also realize that there are other local communities also working hard to help people regain their sobriety. This is not intended to be a negative review of other services, but an appeal to men out there who could benefit from the philosophy that serves to guide our work. One thing that sets us apart from some of the other local sober living communities is that we do not require a maximum time limit on our residents.
Support For Your Unique Path To Sobriety
We understand that the issues that so often lead to the loss of sobriety were years, often decades, in the making. We also believe that every single individual journey is different, and it may take some people longer than a predetermined maximum visit length to make enough sense of their lives for regaining sobriety to become permanent. That is why we do not impose strict time limits on our residents. We also believe that encouraging individuals to make positive strides toward understanding oneself, the conditions and causes that led to addiction, the triggers that have threatened sobriety, and the degree of accountability that must be taken at their own pace by everyone who seeks our services.
We have found that there is great power in this approach. Our residents arrive and are immediately welcomed by the staff and the other residents, all of whom care about and understand the challenges associated with regaining sobriety but are under no pressure to do so in a set amount of time. This tends to relieve some of the pressure you may be feeling. The work you will do at the Anthony House is both individual and team oriented. The team is here to support you as you do the work to understand the unique dynamics that got you here.
Uniquely Successful Sober Living Community
We believe that the only way to make positive progress is in an environment of honesty and openness. We encourage our residents to share their history and their truth, and sometimes hearing other perspectives can be difficult. But when they are shared with an honest desire to help you, it can prove to be helpful because of the sense of community and shared experience you will find. We are here to help.
